Amanda Blackwood

President & CEO

Amanda Blackwood commenced her role as President and CEO of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce (Metro Chamber) on May 1, 2018. She is the first female President and CEO of the Metro Chamber, serving in a full-time capacity, in its 127+ year history. As President and CEO, Amanda has continued to lead the strategic direction, vision, culture, and business operations of the Metro Chamber, and tirelessly advocates for issues and programs that support the economic success of our valued business members in the six-county Capital City region. Under Amanda’s capable leadership, the Metro Chamber’s FOR BUSINESS focused strategy is centered on three core values: being mission-driven, collaborative, and growth-oriented. She oversees the Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Metro-PAC (the largest local business focused political action committee), the Metro Chamber Foundation representing more than 500 young professional members, the Metro Business Center (launching in January 2022), and the Northern California World Trade Center. Amanda is sought out by municipalities, such as the City of Sacramento, as a regional business thought leader to serve on commissions and as an advisor to top leadership. Amanda has leveraged her tremendous collaborative instincts by bringing together many of the Sacramento Region’s economic development partners, including the Greater Sacramento Economic Council, Valley Vision, the Sacramento Area Council of Governments and other local/ethnic chambers, to jointly develop strategies for the benefit of all those involved.

Kyla Bryant

Director, MetroBusiness Center

Kyla Bryant has worked in public, private and non-profit sectors, with the goal of implementing effective leadership practices and organizational design. Her educational background includes a BA in Psychology from Brandman University and a current pursuit of a MA in Leadership- Organizational Learning and Effectiveness from University of the Pacific. She has walked people and businesses through times of crisis and change throughout her career. Kyla lives in Sacramento, with her husband and their daughter. In her spare time, she loves watching sports and is part of an all-female Fantasy Football league.

Madeline Barbour

Program Manager

When we take inventory of the things we are lucky to have, Madeline “Maddy” Barbour, is always at the top of that list. On top of working as the Program Manager for the MetroBusiness Center, Maddy is also in the running for “World’s Nicest Person.”

If you know Maddy, you’ll know that her ranking on the “World’s Nicest Person” list is no surprise. Maddy constantly goes out of her way to assist those that need it most – a small business owner, a budding entrepreneur, a friend, or colleague, Maddy is the real deal when it comes to service.

A native of Clovis and graduate of California State University, Fullerton, Maddy is driven to impact work. She finds great rewards in being of service to others as it honors her favorite person – her mother.

Maddy strives to stay grounded in the fact that our lives are comprised of a million small moments, and it really is the small moments in our lives that can leave the biggest impact. She embodies authenticity through and through.

When Maddy takes time for herself, you can find her strolling the streets of Midtown enjoying the many farmers’ markets, stopping in at her favorite coffee shops, and leveling up in spin class. She’s also well on her way to completing her bucket list of visiting all 50 states by the time she’s 35. She has 32 states down and only 18 states to go!
